Mestekawi Cave:
Discovered in 2002, the rock-art site of the Mestekawi Cave, in northwest Gilf Kebir, in Egypt’s Western desert is yet to be fully studied. Partly hidden and sheltered from wind and sun by a wall of sand the cave wall displays an incredible array of prehistoric art. There are brightly coloured paintings of humans and animals and the blown paint outlines of numerous hands of all sizes. There are also some fine engravings of cattle and ibexes.
Several explorations to the Mestekawi Cave are represented here between 2005 and 2010. Many more images are available on request
